In Thom van der Doef’s installations, videos, computer animations and writings he asks questions about perceptions of reality and representation. Untitled (Cup) is a 4 minute video shot on DV over the course of 4 months. It follows a blue wax-paper Hinckley drinking cup in close-up as it gets blown through the streets and parking lots of Chicago. It has been shown in various settings in Europe and the United States.
